The Federalism Interaction Program in Gandaki Province, held in Pokhara on September 2, 2024, was organized by the FLC and coordinated by the Chief Minister's Office of Gandaki Province
The first formal interaction event of the 'Federalism & Localization Center' took place in Pokhara on September 2, with the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, political party leaders in the provincial parliament, ministers, the principal secretary, secretaries of Gandaki Province, and others in attendance. This entity, established just a few days ago, includes representation from all major political parties in Nepal, including the Nepali Congress, Nepal Communist Party (UML), Maoist, Madhes-based parties, and subject experts in various thematic areas. The objectives of the entity are to promote policy studies, debates, and advocacy to reinforce federalism, democracy, and inclusion in Nepal.
The entity aims to conduct research and legislative activities on federalism, strengthen Intergovernmental Relations (IGR), and coordinate with federal units, universities, and organizations to foster a cohesive approach through collaboration and mutual support.
