Dil Kumari Rawal Thapa (Parbati)

Dil Kumari Rawal Thapa (Parbati) is a distinguished Nepali social and political activist with a strong background in national politics and grassroots development. She served as a Member of the Federal Parliament of Nepal (2017–2023) and as Chair of the National Concern and Coordination Committee of the National Assembly (2018–2023).

From 2019 to 2024, she led the National Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development, Nepal, advocating for inclusive policies on population management, sustainable development, and gender equity. A dedicated leader within the CPN-UML, she previously served as President of the Chitwan District Committee (2077–2078 B.S.) and currently holds key roles as a Central Committee Member and Head of the Department of Education and Human Resources Development.

Ms. Thapa holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology, Economics, and Law (LLB) from Tribhuvan University. Her early career includes three years of impactful work in human rights awareness, safe migration counseling, and community development initiatives.

Based in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan, she is widely respected for her leadership in federal affairs, women’s empowerment, and education reform, making significant contributions to Nepal’s socio-political landscape.
